Using recycled and home improvement products along with fluorescent paint, and other media Cannon-Karlos developed techniques in graduate school to depict the abstract nature of natural phenomenon like thunder/lightning, volcanos, aurora borealis, etc.  These images reveal themselves under ultraviolet light where they are photographed to reveal amazing colors, patterns and designs.
