Artist and Educator:
As both an artist and educator Cannon-Karlos combined art and science in both her personal work (artwork inspired by science - see Archives) and teaching. While teaching in the Art Department at the University of Hawaii, Hilo she designed a unique STEAM course - AST: The "Art, Science and Technology" course used scientific principles to explore realms of creativity and included working with fractals, bio and digital art exploring concepts in transformation, assimilation, entropy and regeneration.
Cannon-Karlos has exhibited in venues in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, New Mexico, Hawaii, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
